The farm is once again busy
preparing for Pacafiesta 2006 the Atlantics Fibre and Alpaca festival
in Halifax . A three day celebration of our industry with lots of opportunity
for people to take part . Both Suris and Huacayas will compete under
judge Jude Anderson. The Fiesta will many demonstrations as well as
a variety of seminars , clinics, dinners, brunches and tail gate parties.
Competitions for best finished product , best yarn and best fleece are
open to mail entries. Auction catalogues for the sale animals will be
sent out on request and judge Cathy Merkley will be on hand on the day
to help buyers. Clinics include "Health Nutrition and Fibre outcomes"
by Dr Norm Evans . Shearing and skirting , grading fibre showmanship
etc.

Pacafiesta and the clinics there are conflicting with Dr Andersons arrival
the farm has postponed his clinic until 2007 .
Dr David Anderson is coming
to Nova Scotia to give a two day clinic at the farm . If you are interested
you have the opportunity now to contact us and let us know what you
most would like to learn from Dr Anderson . The clinic will be geared
around your responses.
The clinic will include breakfast
, Lunch and Dinner on the Saturday with a lot of fun and the opportunity
to meet with other camelid breeders.
